Quiller Birch Leaf and Ironwood

After taking an amazing couple of weeks on vacation in Falcon Lake, Manitoba. I was inspired by the intricacies of simple leaf shapes. So here is part of my "Leaves of Falcon Lake" series. These two are the Birch Leaf, and what I believe to be an Ironwood leaf.
Birch Leaf: Around Falcon Lake there are so many Birch trees. I do think they are my favourite tree as well. The bark pattern is just so beautiful.
I also did some watercolour behind the leaf to give it a bit more depth.
Here is an Ironwood Leaf. Well, at least I think it is.  I took a photo of a leaf and then I had to look it up based on what I knew about the tree and the kinds of trees native to that area.  This was my best guess! It is very similar to the Birch Leaf, but different in it's shape.
If you are interested these are for sale on my Etsy Site!
