Sweet, sweet curiosity.

This blog is all about things I have made. You can find intense embroidery, paper quilling mania, crazy gingerbread houses, masks, puppets, steampunk clothes, ornaments, wackiness and sculptures on this site. So have fun and check it out!

Stratford Lantern Parade! A Moose!

The Stratford Lantern Parade happened this past weekend, October 14th, 2017. It was wet but thankfully the rain stopped right before we really headed out on the parade. It was great to see so many different lanterns and so many familiar faces.  As I had taught a whole bunch of workshops with schools, it was great to see so many of the students out with their lanterns and families on the parade.  I put A LOT OF LIGHTS inside this head. In hindsight I probably could have used half that much. The battery weight eventually took it's toll on my neck, as well as a couple of tree mishaps.
I made this with cane/reed and covered in wet strength tissue paper or florist tissue paper and glue.
